This is one of our most requested recipes. We make these all the times for demos and shows. So here is the (not so secret) recipe…
- 1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
- 2 1/2 Cups Quick Cooking Oats
- 1 1/2 Sticks Melted Butter
- 1 Jar Crooked Birch Jam
- Preheat oven to 375.
- In a large bowl, mix together oats and cake mix.
- Melt butter (in microwave or stove top). Pour melted butter over dry ingredients.
- Mix until it produces small clumps and there is no dry mix remaining in bowl.
- Place and press half the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 pan.
- Spread jar of your favorite Crooked Birch Jam over the crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat/cake mixture on top of jam.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
- Enjoy!!
